tasty treats from 84
Just dropped into the first bars of FOTM. That transition was super juicy and amazing. The band is a well oiled machine on this evening. Nice to hear everyone so active and eloquent on their instruments. It also helps that the mix is perfect on this matrix.
First set was groovy with Shakedown and Loser being particularly awesome. Going to listen to the rest of this and come back to finish this up and give a final rating.
Brent/Phil/Drums on the Never Trust A Woman actually sounds pretty classy this time around. Usually I get the impression that Bobby and Jerry leave the stage in disgust during this Brent tunes but in this case, seems more of a showcase to let him shine on his own.
Morning Dew is outstanding if you can take to heart some of the rough vocals. The delivery is perfect, the whole band is behind Jerry and pushing him higher and higher. As much as I love early renditions of this tune, Brent really adds so much with his organ swells and fills. Love it!
Time to ride this baby all the way home. This is a good one whether you love 80's GD or are looking for a show to start with.

IMO - Best show of 1984
Another great matrix by H.S.
This show rocks from the start and doesn't stop!
If it isn't the best show of 84 - I don't know why.
This night and 10/11 and 10/12 are the best of 1984.
whoever says that the mid 80's are not that good is crazy, there where tons of great shows during that time, I was lucky enough to be able to see the Dead about 6 to 10 times a year during the 80's and I can't remember a bad show!
Again this show is Excellent!!

excellent underrated show
this matrix is one of the finer examples from 2 clean sources
I really love fall 83, most people like 85. Ergo; let's delve into 84 and see what's what.
This show trumps some of the better known performances from the spring of 84 and is In the running tops of the year. Classic 80's dead. The loser is stupendous.
If you havnt visited 84 in a while start here then;
